WIFAS WORKSHOPS
Our instructors are not just outstanding artists, they know how to teach. Our workshops typically have a demonstration in the morning of the first day and provide close-up views of what the instructor is doing on a large screen, visible from all angles. The curriculum of the remainder of the workshop is determined by the instructor. We have a 2,400 square feet facility in a tranquil spot and provide easels, palette tables, stools, chairs, lighting and wonderful refreshments. We always have an artist-monitor to assist the instructor and the students so that everyone can completely focus on painting. Finally, we have an instructor/student party at our house in the evening of the first or second day to get to know each other in a fun and relaxed way. This is one way for us to make sure that our workshops are not just very well organized and instructive events but also a very enjoyable experience for everybody.
An Important Update from Whidbey Island Fine Art Studio
Starting in 2027, Whidbey Island Fine Art Studio will be transitioning to a smaller, more intimate workshop format. While we will be limiting our workshops in our larger studio space, we are pleased to continue welcoming artists and students for small-group studio workshops of up to 10 participants. Plein air workshops will continue to offer opportunities for larger groups to gather, create, and learn together outdoors.
We are incredibly grateful to the artists, instructors, students, and community members who have supported the studio over the years, and we look forward to continuing to create, learn, and connect together in this next chapter.
