Whidbey Island Fine Art Studio (formerly Fall City Fine Art Studio) is located in South Whidbey Island, WA, in Langley. We are dedicated to providing education in high quality representational art for artists at every level. In a pleasant and well equipped environment, we offer classes and workshops led by nationally recognized instructor/artists.

Whidbey Island Fine Art Studio offers drawing and painting from the still life, figure and landscape - studio and plein air. Our classes and workshops are small and intimate, allowing for more individual attention and a personalized approach. Workshops and classes will be offered in Langley as well as some workshops at the Georgetown Atelier. We will have a shuttle to pick up students from the Ferry in Clinton if needed.

Langley is close to spectacular scenery, coastlines, farms and other viewpoints perfect for plein air painting. Whidbey Island FAS has a quiet and peaceful location that is inspiring for the fine artist. The instructors are top professionals and there are many comfortable accommodations available nearby.

We will focus on simplicity rather than complexity in our paintings. By reviewing the basics, new habits can be formed that can be used in all areas of painting. Artists frequently ask themselves the same question while they are in the beginning or middle of a painting: what do I do now? We will explore skills and habits that can help you answer that question. We will address composition, drawing, and color mixing.
