Suzanne Head graduated with degrees in drawing and figurative painting, and is now translating her skills into a body of fused glass work. With a multi-faceted approach to material and technique, she has created ambitious bodies of work in pencil, paint, clay and glass. Suzanne has exhibited nationally; most notably at Bullseye Projects in Portland, Oregon, and the Society of Illustrators in New York, NY. In 2017, she was teaching fused glass and sculpture classes at the Cleveland Institute of Art. She now lives on Whidbey Island, off the coast of Seattle. There, Suzanne works with talented artists, teaches workshops, and continues to pursue her own studio practice.

Suzanne's drawings, paintings and sculptures assess the nature of internal and external struggle, and aim to present a context in which one is powerful, vulnerable, or both. She often symbolizes conflicts within human relationships that pertain to issues of femininity, intimacy and power: questioning whether these characteristics help to define one as strong or weak within societal and social circumstance. When portraying animals: the natural characteristics of the chosen animal species, and their relationship to human society, are symbolic of human behavior.
