For those of you who have the drawing skills but wish to start painting in oil and learn the basics of classical painting.
We will start with dividing the painting process in stages. This 4-week course will introduce you to the value system in the traditional process of oil painting. We will use a monochromatic palette which teaches us how to see the paint shifts in value. Your work will consist of hands-on painting exercises to help you develop these specific skills.

- values and value scale
- the nature of light
- form
Materials:
- Gamsol and a container
- Linseed oil
- Brushes 3 bristle brushes size 2 and 4 filberts. Hog bristles also on the Trekell website.
